How many plastic bags does one person living in Chicago encounter per day? The data was collected by closely observing my surroundings while doing regular activities such as sitting at a café and walking. Each plastic bag seen was plotted in a 24-hour clock every hour. Reusable bag sightings were also noted for comparison. A total of 511 plastic bags were seen in one day, with spikes during lunch and after-work hours.
